In true community, knowledge is shared rather than kept secret.  Consider these our hidden gem shoutouts:

#1 -- The Stray Art & Music Cafe, 4523 S Division Ave., Grand Rapids, MI

So much more than a coffee shop...  So much more!  Yes, an array of coffees is served but so too are delicious dishes, wine and beer.  Most every day there is a featured artist onsite, whether it's live music night or special performances of poets, painters and other artists and artisans.  Two weeks in early February there were crochet lessons with a hand-dyed yarn creator and avid crocheter.  The vibe is eclectic and chill.  

• There's lots of varied sitting, so find a comfortable spot for yourself to work or for your book club, or study group, to gather.

• On open days of the week (Mon-Sat), there are always breakfast and lunch options and Thursday-Saturday there are dinner options for those later nights.
• Thursday night is boardgame night and they're all onsite, pretty much any game you can think of, so make it a fun 'friends night' or 'family night' out.

#2 -- Pour Michigan Wine Barn, 15034 Northland Drive, Cedar Springs 

Ride up on four wheels, two wheels, or a sled... it's all good!  Located in Northern Kent County, close to the White Pine Trail, this is yet another spot you can enjoy on your own, with a friend, or with a crew.  PMWB regularly hosts special events like a Wineology 101 classes, wine & canvas type events, floral bouquet arrangement class, and Trivia Nights.  Holidays are celebrated in good fun too.

• The Cedar Springs tasting room sells exclusively Michigan-made wines.
• If you're still vibing charcuterie, that is a food option to order while you sip and socialize.
• Visiting after a meal?  Grab a glass of your favorite wine or mead and a dessert plate to go along with it.
